The puppies have their own room,
with their own entrance to a special part of the garden. Big maples
are giving shelter from the sun and their own little garden is filled
with toys and little houses for them to climb on and play and sleep
in.
From six weeks of age we are taking them to little walks "to explore
the world" - down to the lake every day...
The puppies sleeps indoors, in their own room during the nights,
but during most of the day they have access to the rest of the house.
They are getting used to all kinds of sounds and things from an ordernary
life, for example vacumcleaners, washingmashines, kitchensounds and
more.
Since the flock are living together
the puppies are socialized with
other dogs than their mummy. The male dogs are helpful with raising
them...
So they can speak all kinds of "doggie-language" from early
age.
When the puppies are four weeks
old,
puppybuyers and other people are allowed to visit them....
This makes it possible for the puppies to socialize with all kinds
of people in different ages - to play with, be petted of
and maybe fall to sleep in a lap... :-)
Since we live together with the
puppies the way we do,
we easily get to know them as the individuals they are and
it is very easy for us to tell their personality. This makes it possible
for us to help the puppybuyers to choose the right puppy for their needs.
The puppies are
delivered at the age of eight weeks and they are:
Registrated at the Swedish Kennelclub
Dewormed
ID-marked
Insured
Vaccinated and they also have a healtcertificate
We want for you to feel safe when
you buy a puppy from our kennel. That we are here to follow you and
give advice,
is a matter of course and we gladly answers any questions,
BUT in return we want our puppies to be x-rayed for hip-dysplasia
when they are in an age between 12 and 18 months old.
We also arrange mentaltests for youthdogs for each litter and we wish
for every one of our puppies to be tested.
If someone isn´t able to attend on any of these occasions,
we gladly see that the dog is tested at some other occasion.
Of course everyone wish that the
puppy can stay in the same home for the rest of his life. That is why
we do all we can to inform about the breed - both good and bad. We help
to choose a puppy that is suitable for YOUR needs and of course we hope
that every puppybuyer has concidered their situation and planned their
purchase very carefully - AND that the whole family agreed to the decision
to buy a puppy...
But... If the situation, for some reason is, that the puppy, youthdog
or the adult dog HAS to change home we really want the placement to
be done in our regi. In that way we feel that we are sure to have control
over where all our puppies are and how their lives are going on...
To us it is very
important that all dogs have tha BEST in life...
In our eyes the briard shall be
a well-functioning allround-dog.
They shall be suitable as both workingdogs and familydogs.
That is why it is important that they are very well balanced in
temperament. To "give it all" when it´s workingtime,
but to
be able to fully relax when nothing is demanded...
That so called "working-mentality" is the kind of temperament
where the dog is restless and stressed, when for some reason
noone is working with it for a while, we think is very wrong...
A sound briard has a well-functioning on/off-button and it is important
that they can adjust to everything that life has to offer...
Of course a briard is a working-dog that demands a lot of his owner,
BUT the meaning is NOT that the dog shall tare the house apart if you
happen to be sick or unable to work with your dog for a while.
